Hi Michal and anyone else reading this,

We had a fantastic vacation in Uganda and Rwanda. For everyone, it was an experience for life. We started with a trip to the gorillas. The start was already exciting with two rangers hanging an AK 47. It was a tough trek with elevation changes to get to the gorillas but it was well worth it. We got very close to the gorillas, with Thomas and Martijn having their vest pulled by the two adolescent gorillas that passed by. A female with her baby gorilla came to lie down in front of us a meter away, her baby playing abundantly in front of us. You don't know what you are experiencing. And of course Christmas, the silverback we got to see. So special. We sat with them for an hour, could have taken all day as far as we were concerned.

Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge: is great. What an experience to be so spoiled by the people who work there. The effort they take to give you a fantastic stay is tremendous. From early morning to late evening, great. The fireplace that is on in your lodge when you go to sleep, the bills before bed, the warm jug in bed, not to mention the works of art they make from towels and flowers. Our guide Kasamba guided us very well and we felt safe with him in the car wherever we drove. It is a profession to drive there, nothing is paved. In addition, it was a joy to spend a few days with Kasamba. Great stories over dinner and pleasant company to be around.

Serengeti Safari Camp South: Very special to sleep among the wildlife of the Serengeti, being woken up with coffee at your tent, while elephants or giraffes walk by, birds of all colors fly by and from a distance you can hear a lion roar. How African do you want it to be. Breathtakingly beautiful. Again, we were pampered from start to finish by the people at the safari camp. Everything is there, delicious food and a beautiful cake was made for our 30th wedding anniversary. This was brought to the table dancing and singing. Wonderful. Here we also met our guide Joseph. Especially nice quiet man who had a lot of experience with wildlife and was able to answer all our questions. Especially in the Ngorogoro Craterhe did everything he could to show us the animals in best places he could find.

Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp.: was a camp which unfortunately was full when we arrived. Sanctuaryis where we were then taken to. Within half an hour I had an email from the Netherlands from Untamed Travelling explaining what had been arranged, that we could go there with our guide Joseph and what a treat that was! A wonderful location with a fantastic reception, delicious food in one of the most beautiful tents I have seen. Here, too, we had a party to celebrate; Thomas turned 25 there. And that too was celebrated with a delicious cake. With singing and dancing, of course.

Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa: Here we were to spend a few days on the beach of Zanzibar lying, reading books, eating and drinking. It did. A beautiful resort with great food. It's on a beautiful part of the island, where you don't have to go anywhere while you're there. We snorkeled and, as icing on the cake, swam with wild dolphins. Sometimes we just walked a little on the beach, in short, nice location to recover nicely from all the impressions and experiences we had.

Our experience with Michal to put this trip together was very pleasant. Questions and phone calls are responded to quickly, we were called back quickly when needed. It was so incredibly nice to be met everywhere, picked up on time, waited for at the airports and then taken on another plane. It relieves you tremendously when that everything is well taken care of and organized. Top!
