In May 2024, Bob and his two grandsons took a fantastic trip through Japan. For examplel they walked with a former sumo wrestler in Tokyo, biked through the cultural capital Kyoto, learned about Samurai culture in Kanazawa and ended the trip in Japan's food hotspot, Osaka. A unique journey full of unforgettable experiences. Where the world can't find you...

The trip to Japan together with two grandsons ages 17 and 19 went great. Praise to Untamed Travelling who organized the trip fantastically. The hotels and guides were perfect and the program in terms of sights and content very nice. The tour with the Sumo wrestler, the visit to Disneyland in Tokyo, the manga drawing and the visit to Teamlab Borderless were wonderful. The food tour with an introduction to Japanese cuisine for the boys should also not go unmentioned.

Unforgettable were the bicycle tour and Samurai Kenbu lessons in Kyoto. During the bicycle tour, we were pleased to visit the Nijo Castle, the Kinkakuji and Ryon-ji Temples and the bamboo forest. Delightful was also the day trip to the recommendable Nara with the Todaiji, the Kasuga Taisha shrine, the beautiful Nara park and the impressive Fushimi Inari Shrine with its unimaginable number of gates up high on the mountain. In Kanazawa, we visited a very hospitable and pleasant Samurai family who explained to us the customs of the Samurai and demonstrated swordsmanship and technique in a very interesting way. Rounding out our wonderful Japan trip, we visited vibrant Osaka where we ended the trip with a very tasty food tour before embarking on the long return flight across the Bering Sea and Greenland.

All in all, an unforgettable experience for Grandpa and grandsons with all thanks to Untamed Travelling!

Sincerely,

Bob
