Dear team at Untamed,
We just returned from a nine-day trip to Kenya. We traveled to the slightly lesser known part of Kenya north of Nairobi. The Samburu Reserve was beautiful with its many elephants, not to mention "the Samburu five" (gevry-zebra/generuk/somali austrich/beisa oryx/rectangular giraffe). The stay at the Intrepid Tented Camp in this park was very nice and well taken care of. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We felt spoiled like king and queen. Following that, we stayed four nights in Laikipia. It seemed as if we had landed right in the movie "Out of Africa. Laikipia is not the region of large herds and groups of lions. It is an area where you really do have to look for flora and fauna. However, the guides at Kosian Lodge are super professional and make sure you can regularly get leopards and lions in front of your lens. Emma and Darren, the managers of the lodge, make sure that as a guest you feel immediately at home. Staying with them feels like a second home. We were not short of anything, everything was organized to perfection in a wonderful setting. It was a bit like the "other" Kenya. The tranquility, the accessibility and the authenticity of the environment have charmed us. Thank you all for this wonderful experience.
