Unfortunately, my trip to Zambia has now ended. It was really really great! This was my fifth time in Africa and Zambia is really my country. Beforehand I could only hope that it would be so beautiful and well arranged! What beautiful things we have seen, such as 2 shoebills, >5000 black lechwes, about 300 hippos right in front of the tent, beautiful landscapes, 3 leopards, two elephants 50 cm in front of my tent, a cerval, a bushbaby (had been on my wish list for 8 years), a snake in my chair and the thing that made me want to go to Zambia in the first place: the thornicroft giraffe! A trip to remember!
Although the offering process was not entirely smooth, the trip was more than well taken care of. About the trip, I can only be positive. The local agent had organized everything fantastically. The distances were just right, the locations were incredibly beautiful, the campsites were in beautiful places, the car worked well, Didi is a very experienced guide / driver / car mechanic. The tents were nice and big (four person tent for me alone), good mattresses, extra blanket and pillow. Very luxurious for a camping trip.
Not forgetting to mention, Zambia is really an amazing country, so big, the feeling of being alone in the world in beautiful nature, very few tourists, lovely people. I also really liked having such a small group, I just had a private tour for the price of a group tour! The price-quality ratio was therefore very good. I can therefore only advise you to keep in touch with the local agent and to send people with a somewhat limited budget, but who would like to experience the "real" Africa, to Zambia with this local agent!
