L.S., Senegal exceeded all our expectations: a (very) warm and mostly sun-drenched country in November/December with cheerful friendly people. It was a superbly organized trip, with all transfers running punctually and excellent guides providing plenty of opportunity to get acquainted with the real Senegal. Our guide effortlessly organized our request to visit several exhibitions of the art biennale in Dakar. The hotels and resorts where we stayed were good and certainly better than we expected, given previous experiences in Africa. We enjoyed sightseeing through Toubacouta, among other places, and the impressive Île de Gourée. The highlight was definitely the week of sailing on the Senegal River with numerous excursions aboard the Bou el Mogdad. This was a fantastic experience in every way in which we learned a lot about the country thanks to the wonderful crew. In short: recommended for anyone who wants more than a beach vacation (although especially in Saly this is also possible). Frank and Yvonne
