Dear Petra,

We are back home after a fantastic South Africa trip! The four of us thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Super that we were met at Johannesburg airport and escorted to the hotel.

Still, what impressed all of us most was the safari at Kariega. (Driven there in a brand new Isuzu.) Everything there was right, the lodges, the staff, the food.

At 05.00h you will be awakened to enter the jeep at 06.00h.
Then, around 10:00h, everyone had breakfast. In the afternoon they organize another activity and then at 4 p.m. get back in the jeep and between 7:30-20 p.m. back on location. Our ranger Damon really made it something unforgettable!

With the people you go on safari with in the jeep, you also sit at the table during dinner. Hollow Estate in Knysnais a new beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the area there because there is plenty to do!

December 31 we went to The Robertson Small hotel, nice quiet hotel. Just a lesson for us to be a little more alert, because to be in a quiet hotel at New Year's Eve, where there is nothing to do at 12 o'clock, is very quiet. Even the bar was closed, the staff was very eager to celebrate New Year's Eve with family.

Perhaps we should have skipped this stop and continued directly to Stellenbosch. Beautiful route, again feasted our eyes. Stellenbosch is a nice place with plenty of opportunities. We also did 2 wine tastings there.

Our trip ended in Cape Town with the amazing Table Bay hotel, top notch!

In short, we look back on a great trip, many impressions gained, memories made!
