"India, a beautiful, exciting and varied country"

Nature trip Indian wildlife parks

In 2019, Mr and Mrs Visser visited the Bera, Khichan, Dudhwa, Satpura and Pench wildlife parks during their second trip through India.

For our second trip to India we chose to mainly see nature and in February/March we went to Bera, Khichan, Dudhwa, Satpura and Pench.

The result was a succession of beautiful hotels and lodges, many animals and landscapes and also plenty of impressions of the towns and villages and their people.

If I had to say what made the most impression, I wouldn’t be able to make a choice. The organization was fine, all travel by plane, car and train went well.

The comfortable hotels, especially the Jaagir Lodge excelled in service and attention, the Bera Safari Lodge whose owner is very concerned about the beautiful area where the leopards live, the Denwa Backwater Escape and Pench Tree Lodge which values nature conservation and sustainability, whether the hotels in the cities where the food is fine, it was lovely to stay everywhere. The excellent nature guides who were present in the lodges and who during the safaris appeared to have a lot of knowledge of all the animals (and especially birds) were always willing to meet our wishes and went out of their way to give us an unforgettable trip.

But of course it was about the animals: the thousands of cranes, the leopards and tigers, lip bear, jackal and wild dog, marsh cat, mongoose and various species of deer and antelopes, we have all seen them.
Because we are also very interested in birds and reptiles we can be satisfied: we have seen 150 species of birds! It wasn’t warm enough for snakes and lizards, but also gavians and crocodiles were on our list and we saw them.

Once again we have experienced India as a beautiful, exciting and varied country, which we would like to visit again.
