Best,
I see that you can already read a detailed report by Robert on your blog that we can fully agree with: Colombia is certainly the biggest and most pleasant surprise among all our travels!
Previously known - notorious - for all kinds of negative news, it is in the first place a warm and very varied country with an excellent infrastructure. We felt very welcome and extremely safe. In addition to Robert's blog, we also made a stop in two beautiful colonial villages, Villa de Levya and Barichara . Both absolutely recommended; we experienced wonderful days. For the more adventurous, rafting on the nearby Rio Suarez is an activity not to be missed, a true top sport!
We are convinced that the timing to visit Colombia was optimal. The country is in full transition and will become a pearl of South America. There are currently very few tourists, which makes it all that little bit more authentic. To conclude, I return to Robert's words from the blog: Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay!
Warm travel greetings,
Jurgy Bohez
