Mr. Bohez and his travel companion traveled to the United States in April. After extensive exploration of New York, they hopped into the rental car for an adventurous self-drive to Boston, where Mr. Bohez ran the Patriot's Day marathon, one of the oldest and most popular professional marathons in the world.

Good morning,

We have had a very good and exciting journey. I also completed the marathon in 3h28min55sec (a tough course).

The flights with United were excellent, their app works fine, an upgrade to Economy Plus on the outbound flight was easy to book, the meals were tasty but rather sober.

All hotels had a very good and central location:

  • The Archer: hip, beautiful rooftop bar indeed; only downside: very small room, opening suitcases is almost impossible; bathroom is quite big
  • Chatham Bars Inn: class and history; nice to be here for the start of the season; we had a great time
  • Kimpton Nine Zero: also hip and a really great room here: unimaginably spacious and beautiful view

The road trip between New York and Boston is highly recommended. Hertz was nearby at both pick-up and drop-off and the transactions went smooth.

Also nice to see that New York has become a real cycling city (if you are brave enough).
