Hi Angelina,
Returned yesterday from an unforgettable trip to Argentina!
What's Patagonia beautiful and Buenos Aires bustling (especially the Palermo district!). We enjoyed for 10!
We are very enthusiastic about the hotel in El Chalten; a nice boutique style hotel, just right for the place and with many options within walking distance in terms of food/drink.
The Estancia in Torres del Paine was great!!!! Via the National Park we drove to Lake Gray and we took a boat trip; impressive!
The hotel in El Calafate was fine, but we personally found it very large and a bit too classic for our taste. I wouldn't recommend it myself and would rather choose one of the many boutique hotels or Hosteriás.
Hotel Clasico in Buenos Aires was TOP! Within walking distance of all kinds of nice bars and restaurants. In terms of decor, so very nice in terms of style. Bit retro-ish. Recommended
The population has also surprised us very positively. What kindness. Everything with a smile and also very willing to think / help. And what really surprised us was the ''peaceful'' traffic situation in Buenos Aires. In a city of 13 million people, letting everything run through so neatly and honking the horn once, so gallant to each other. Can we learn a lot from this.
We knew that prices in Chile would be on the high side. However, the 3-course dinner at Estancia was only $40 and included Pisco sour + glass of house wine. So nothing too much!
The fact that our bill was a bit higher was because they had a fantastic Carménère there; the winery belonged to the owner of the Estancia himself.... So I've eaten the necessary bottles 😉
The prices of food and drinks in Argentina were many times lower than we thought. You won't get a steak of 400 grams that your knife slides through for 10 euros anywhere. And what a Malbec's....
We're all going to get back in line now that we're back 🙂
I would like to thank you and your colleagues for taking care of this trip and the great tips we received. My enthusiasm will hopefully ensure that I can introduce many new customers to you for this destination.
Greetings,
Marielle
