Here are some comments on my AMAZING trip to Morocco:
- I had a very good, sympathetic driver, who hardly spoke English, but did speak German, which was no problem for me.
- It is wise to arrange a guide in Rabat in the Netherlands. Lots of beautiful things to see; you can't live without it! The driver arranged this for me, already on the way. Hotel and riad in Casablanca and Rabat excellent! Especially the latter with its great garden. Leave both of everything and everyone.
- Guide in Fés good, but a bit distant. Tried to get me into all kinds of shops, even though I had said this beforehand that I didn't want this. He gave up after 4 tries.
- The riad in Fés was fine. Very pleasant, hard working people who did everything to make you feel comfortable. To get there you have to walk about 300 m. through 2 narrow alleys that go up slowly but steadily. Spicy walk! You do not have to carry your suitcase and bag yourself.
- The long drive from Fés to Marrakech is easy to do: 9 hours, incl. 2 short and an extended stop for lunch.
- The riad in Marrakech is very luxurious. The best! And also within walking distance about 15 minutes from the Jemaa-el Fna. Great to do alone in terms of safety!
The guide was very good, spoke excellent English and also had the necessary humor, was enthusiastic.
Everything was well organized by you. Thanks for that!
