Dear Marc,
Our trip to Italy Bellagio is (unfortunately) over again. What a great weekend this was, everything was taken care of to perfection. At 10:00 am we were picked up by the cab at our home and taken to the airport, where we arrived at 10:30 am. There we were greeted with: how early you are present, the departure is not until 11 am... A very special sensation.
We were very warmly welcomed by the two pilots, who gave us a short briefing. The experience is unprecedented, we look right through the cockpit, and have the view of the pilots. Really very special. The service on board was very much, we couldn't finish the food by a long shot. This food would have been more than enough for 6 - 8 people. Nice and decadent, we uncorked the champagne and still did our best to eat some of the food. Upon arrival at Linate we were welcomed and the captain grabbed our luggage from the hold (when do you see that), we were taken to the private terminal where our cab was already waiting.
The cab took us very smoothly to Bellagio, where we were welcomed like old friends by the concierge. Our rooms were already specially prepared, allowing us to go to our rooms by 1:30 p.m. (special service?). Of course, we had to grab a light lunch anyway, as the dinner reservation was at 8 p.m.
The first night we had the white truffle menu, an unprecedented meal. Next to our table was a small side table, with white linen, with the white truffle on it under a glass cloche. The second evening a game menu was prepared for us, also exceptionally delicious.
We were picked up at the hotel at noon on Sunday, a little earlier than I would have liked, but no other time was possible. As a result, we arrived at Linate airport at 1:20 p.m., where we were once again greeted with: how early you are. Fortunately, the captain was able to move the time schedule forward a bit, allowing us to leave earlier than planned (when do you hear from someone who flies early, instead of the usual delay).
The cab was nicely informed that we would arrive earlier in Eindhoven, so it also came to pick us up exactly on time.
All in all, this was an excellently arranged weekend trip, something we definitely want to do more often (and my uncle more than happy to join us). Private flying was also something we want to do more often. Once someone has tasted this, you almost don't want to fly any other way.
At least for our trips within Europe, we want to start including private flying as a more than real option in our ideas.
This weekend was a great success!
Sincerely,
Yannick Panhuizen
