We were very satisfied with the accommodations that Griet had for us selected, with Huntingdon House in the tea estates of Malawi in particular really looking jump out. We were spoiled there and what a beautiful house and surroundings! We highly recommend it for all Malawi travelers.
Also the accommodation in South Luangwa NP (Croc Valley) and Liwonde NP (Mvuu) was amazing. We really enjoyed the luxury tent by the river in South Luangwa and the nice chalet in Liwonde. Actually all accommodations were satisfactory completely up to our expectations. The family visit in Cape Maclear, that we had arranged ourselves, was a nice end to the trip.
Transport was also well organized everywhere. We liked the bus trip from Lusaka to Livingstone. The bus was luxurious, equipped with air conditioning and good seats and we even got a drink, snack and newspaper on the way. A good alternative for travelers who want to reduce costs. Domestic flights from Livingstone to Mfuwe were also very good. The only point of criticism concerns the transfer from South Luangwa NP to Lilongwe. We were in the car with seven fairly tall people (a nice 4WD by the way). Three people had to 'fold up' in the back seat where there was little legroom. Fortunately, the place was changed every now and then, so that the legs could be stretched for a while.
Arriving in Lilongwe it turned out that two double rooms had been booked in Burley House instead of one, while our travel companions had arranged a hotel elsewhere themselves. Fortunately, the problem was solved with one phone call to Untamed.
We had a fantastic 3 weeks in Zambia and Malawi. We came home with beautiful pictures of all the places we visited. We have lost our heart to Africa and will certainly go back to this continent, where we would like to use your services again!
