Dear Tryntsje,
As we briefly stated during our holiday in India, we once again congratulate us on the way in which you have organised and carried out our trip.
Our desire to get in touch with the locals and their customs has been well accepted, and that has certainly given the trip a special touch.
Needless to say, the sights were also impressive, with the Taj Mahal highlighted at the end of the trip. Also for the second time this is still touchingly beautiful. But also the palaces and forts were very imposing.
Just as impressive were the contacts with the locals, while visiting the sights (there are really hundreds of selfies and photos taken with the girls), in the Delhi slum, while preparing for dinner at the Brahma temple in Delhi, on a great mountain bike ride in Udaipur, during a visit in Deogar to a very small rural village , during a visit to a blind shelter in Jaipur etc etc.
Also the conversations with the various guides were very fascinating, because of this history went much more life for the children, and we understood more of the Hindu culture. The guide in Pushkar in particular has given us wise life lessons, and the guides in Agra and Jaipur also managed to bring history to life with their anecdotes and stories.
In particular, we would also like to mention Dilip who has taken care of us in a very sympathetic and personal way in Jodhpur, has also given us wise life lessons in Jaipur, arranged a special meeting with a blind doctor, and showed us his mother’s home village. This made the trip for us very special.
Last but not least, we would like to mention Subhash, the driver, who with its built-in navigation system managed to find everything flawlessly.
Tryntsje, thank you again for your patience, you have felt very well what our wishes were. We plan to visit India again, with our son there, and then go to Varanasi, Jaisalmer and Ladakh. We would like to use your services again.
Sincerely,
Wieteke
