Special desert trips to Algeria
In Algeria the country is called 'Al Jaza'ir', the islands. Algeria is 85% desert. The name 'Al Jaza'ir' refers to the cities and oases, which lie like islands in the desert sea. The desert in Algeria has the most diverse forms; from vast, meter-high sand dunes, to imposing rock formations and endless plains of sand & rocks. Huge camel caravans regularly cross the desert towards the south. Unfortunately, Algeria is also a country where danger lurks, there is no denying that. Yet Algeria is more than that. In addition to a modern capital (Algiers), the country has many other interesting cities, colorful markets, impressive mountain ranges and ancient villages with medieval fortresses in the desert.
