Idyllic all-round Okavango experience, all year round
The small-scale Duba Plains Camp is one of the most remote camps in the Okavango Delta . The traditional safari tent camp is built in the shade of large ebony, fig and garcinia trees and surrounded by extensive open grasslands that are annually flooded. The area is known for the endless fights between lion families and large herds of buffalo.
Six comfortable tents are built on rosewood decks with panoramic views over the delta. The decor is attractive and simple with native hardwood, a large bed with mosquito net and white cotton sheets, duvets and African accents.
A safari in Duba Plains starts with tracking down buffaloes and lions in an open 4x4 vehicle. And there is more to experience: glide through the water with the mokoro between wading hippos and elephants, photograph elusive nocturnal animals on a night safari or spot antelopes, warthogs, hyena and birds during a walking tour led by an experienced guide.
After an adventurous safari you can enjoy a cooling dip in the pool or a relaxing massage. Breakfast and picnic lunch are served during the game drives, high tea in the attractive dining area. You dine under a twinkling starry sky, except when the weather is less, you can enjoy a delicious meal in the open-air dining room or in the privacy of your own tent if desired.
