Highest mountain of Kenya
North of Nairobi is Mount Kenya, one of the highest mountains in Africa. Kenya's highest mountain (5199 m), situated on the equator, with its snowy peaks, is a stark contrast to the dry grasslands that surround the mountain. On the mountain you will find various types of vegetation. From tropical rainforest, where it is possible to observe wildlife and bamboo jungle to mountain forests and alpine vegetation with giant cruc herbs and lobelias. The higher mountain lakes reflect the jagged and jagged peaks. The third highest peak, Lenana (4985 m) can be controlled by anyone in good condition. Not only reaching the top of this mountain is special; the wilderness areas you walk through make the ascent worthwhile alone.
