The comfortable Rhino Camp is located in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a large 90,000 hectare nature reserve between the Aberdares and the impressive Mount Kenya. The Conservancy is home to a wide variety of animals, including the 'Big Five'. It is also the largest habitat in East Africa for the endangered black rhino and refuge for rescued chimpanzees. Porini Rhino Camp is located in a remote valley, on the banks of a seasonal river, in shelter from beautiful acacia trees. The camp consists of only six spacious and comfortable tents, from which you have a wide view of the impressive surroundings. The tents are tastefully decorated, equipped with solar-powered lighting and en-suite bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet. Rhino Camp is focused on nature conservation and low-impact tourism. The camp is mainly staffed by the local Masai, as part of the objective to generate profits from wildlife tourism to reinvest in the local community and environment. The camp adheres to strict eco-friendly and responsible ecotourism principles.
