Mozambique is a land of unexpected beauty. Gorongosa National Park offers beautiful, varied landscapes. Culture lovers will love the Ilha do Mozambique, one of the oldest European settlements in southern Africa and protected as a world heritage site. The capital maputo is known for its fish market, Mediterranean cuisine – king prawns are a specialty – and other remnants of the Portuguese colonial past. A country full of surprises!
