Fishing villages on Lake Kivu
Lake Kivu is a destination to unwind. On the shores of the lake are several small port towns, where life quietly rips on. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Lake Kivu, the small-scale but cozy markets and the local fishermen with their homemade wooden canoes. From the port town of Kibuye you can also take boat trips across Lake Kivu to the islands of Amahoro Island and Napoleon's Island.
