Safari at the foot of Mount Meru
Arusha N.P. is a small park with a wide variety of landscapes, from wide plains to crater lakes and alpine vegetation. The park is dominated by Mount Meru, with 4566 meters the second highest mountain in Tanzania. The flanks of the mountain are dominated by lichen-covered trees, in which Colobus monkeys swing. At the foot of the mountain, with sharply jagged crater edges, lie the Momella lakes in which hundreds of flamingos live. In clear weather you have beautiful views over the plains on Kilimanjaro.
