Katavi National Park
For the experienced and well-travelled safarilovers there are still a few game parks in Tanzania that guarantee the ultimate wilderness experience. Katavi N.P. is, like Mahale N.P., one of those national parks. A limited number of visitors are allowed per day. The park is large and vast and hardly affected by human hands. There are still hardly any roads and there is only one very small-scale property. Your safari in Katavi is therefore absolutely unique. The numbers of wild animals are enormous; the rivers 'bulge' out of the hippos and crocodiles and on the soggy grass plains you can see large herds of buffalo, followed by lions, leopards and hyenas.
Saadani N.P.
Saadani is a very unique park where the beach and marine life meets the bush and the big game. You will find large quantities of game, such as giraffe, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, saber antelope, moose, hartebeest, wildebeest, hyena and a large presence of many bird species. The landscape is dominated by acacia trees and mangroves. You will also find the special 'walking palm'. Dolphins and whales are occasionally seen off the coast of Saadani. In Madete Marine Reserve is also a special turtle project.
