Chimpanzees in Tanzania
Mahale Mountains N.P. belongs to tanzania's unique and little-visited wildlife parks. Located on Lake Tanganyika you will find mountains covered with tropical rainforest bordering on vast and deserted sandy beaches. The park has no roads and can only be explored on foot or by boat. The most unique thing about Mahale is the large group of chimpanzees that live here. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will set out on foot in search of these special animals. In addition, Mahale is the habitat of eight other primate species, such as the black and white colobus, red colobus and red-tailed monkeys.
