Exclusive camping safari to Botswana and Vic Falls
Embark on a journey of discovery on this comfortable 12-day fly-in camping safari through northern Botswana and to Vic Falls in Zimbabwe, and get to know the many facets of unspoiled nature in both countries. This trip combines the luxury of traveling by shared charter with comfortable camping accommodations in the middle of the bush. The exclusive itinerary is entirely up to you, but this is not a trip on a private basis: transportation is shared, and activities are usually undertaken with other travelers.
By charter, you will travel from campsite to campsite, with stunning views of the landscape along the way. Arriving at the airstrip, you will be picked up by a 4WD, which will take you to the campsite. Chobe under canvas is one such campsite, which gives a good idea of what to expect on this trip: spacious tents with real beds and simple private sanitation.
There are various activities during the day, accompanied by local guides. After dinner under the stars, you can reminisce about the day while the sounds of the bush let you know that nature never sleeps. Once the guinea fowl have found their roosts in trees and bushes, their noisy twittering gives way to the rousing 'laughter' of hyenas and the deep roar of a lion....
Okavango Delta and the 'Big Five'
From a traditional canoe, you will experience the silence and natural beauty of the Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world. The waters of the Okavango River fan out through the flat land, forming a labyrinth of waterways. The crystal clear waters flow around the many larger and smaller islands, including floating papyrus islands. So much water in a country with little rainfall attracts many species of birds and wildlife, such as ospreys, elephants, lions, hippos and crocodiles. The Moremi Game Reserve is part of the Delta region, which includes the largest island Chief 's Island. It is known for its wide variety of plants, the robust mopane trees, but of course also for its extraordinary wildlife. Besides giraffes, cheetahs and wild dogs, you can look out for the 'Big Five' here: elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and rhinos.
Elephants in Chobe and visit the Victoria Falls
You will also visit a lesser-known part of the park: the Savuti Swamps, which are considered one of the best places for spotting wildlife. The area attracts many (swamp) antelopes and, as a result, many predators such as lions, wild dogs and spotted hyenas. Of course, you will also go on a boat safari in Chobe National Park. This park has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa including some 120,000 elephants, the largest population in the world. Your journey ends at the spectacular Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Here you will stay in a lodge of your choice. A helicopter flight over the falls is the splashy end to this journey of discovery!
