From Soweto to eSwatini
You will start your trip with a visit to the township of Soweto near Johannesburg, very worthwhile. A visit to the famous Greater Kruger Park with the Big Five should not be missed in your trip. In eSwatini you will stay in traditional rondavels and visit a local village, led by the chief. A boat trip on the lake at St. Lucia offers you the chance to see hippos and countless species of birds.
From KwaZulu Natal to Lesotho
You will then visit KwaZulu Natal where you will stay in a Zulu village. You will become extensively acquainted with the history, traditions and lifestyle of the Zulu tribe. You will then travel to the impressive Drakensberg Mountains where you can hike, horseback ride or enjoy the beautiful views from your lodge. Your next destination is Lesotho. The infrastructure here is limited and the inhabitants (the Bashoto) move mainly on foot or on horseback. With a stopover in Graaff Reinet, you will travel on to Oudtshoorn, known for its many ostrich farms. At Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands you will find traditional old Dutch architecture and, of course, the many wineries. You will conclude the trip in the bustling port city of Cape Town.
