Mountain gorillas and tea plantations

Rwanda, the 'Land of a Thousand Hills' is surprising and versatile. A succession of rolling hills with vast tea plantations, fields, small settlements and various National Parks, including nyungwe national park. With lush vegetation, more than 100 species of orchids, a spectacular waterfall and imposing forest giants, this is one of the last tropical mountain rainforests in Africa. Walking along well-maintained and signposted paths you will discover the special inhabitants: but love 12 species of primates and more than 300 volgel species. Less easy, but unforgettable is the walk on slippery paths and wooded slopes of the Virunga volcanoes. You are located in Parc National des Volcans, looking for the peaceful mountain gorillas.

Safari in the Ngorongoro crater

An impressive transition from Rwanda to Tanzania is a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre in the capital Kigali. The Arusha National Park, one of the parks you visit, brings you back in touch with beautiful nature, marshes and vast grassland where you will find lots of savannah wildlife, such as giraffes, zebras and water buffaloes. You can even make foot safaris here! But most to the imagination is the annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti to Kenya. Paradise is the Ngorongoro crater, the largest intact crater in the world, packed with wildlife, lush slopes and lake. A piece of cake to spot lions here!
