THE BEST OF AFRICA
This trip is a special tour through the African countries of Rwanda and Zimbabwe. First, look for the imposing mountain gorillas, then go on safari in Zimbabwe's national parks, then visit one of the seven wonders of the world: the Victoria Falls.
MOUNTAIN GORILLAS IN VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Volcanoes National Park is named after six volcanoes of the Virunga mountain range that marks the border with Uganda and Congo. You will pass through the tropical mountain rainforest on the flanks of these volcanoes. The tours are arduous and sometimes long, but your encounter with the mountain gorillas more than makes up for all efforts. The magic of these peaceful great apes is indescribable. And this is just the beginning! The area is also home to another rare primate species: thegolden monkey. Stand still for a moment and enjoy the fairy-tale vegetation, including giant lobelias, hanging mosses and senecios.
ON SAFARI IN PURE WILDERNESS
Hwange and Matusadona are known for the large population of elephants. During the dry season you will witness large concentrations of wildlife around the still rare waterholes. In Mana Pools, the wild has become accustomed to people on foot, making it one of the best African national parks for hiking safaris! Gonarezhou has no roads or paths. No fences. No bridges or airstrips. And no permanent lodges. The rugged landscape consists of rivers with rocky banks, mopane forests, vast plains, lagoons and marshes. Here you will find pure wilderness and you will encounter few other visitors during your safaris.
