Tour Surprising Uganda

Mountain gorillas and Africa's oldest rainforest

Uganda is best known for its gorillas, but the country has so much more in store for its visitors! You will visit the pearls of Uganda; the spectacular Murchinsons Falls, the chimpanzees at Kibale, the diverse landscapes in Queen Elizabeth National Park and the wild savannahs of Lake Mburo. Your visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park will certainly be one of the highlights of this trip. One of the oldest stretches of rainforest in Africa and one of the few places on earth where mountain gorillas still live in the wild!

The Nile and Murchinsons Falls

Murchinsons Falls National Park is perhaps the best area in Uganda to see the variety of large African wildlife such as the elephant, lion, buffalo, Rothchild's giraffe and various antelopes. At the Murchinsons Falls you can see the unimaginable force with which the Nile is literally squeezed through the narrow passage (7 m). The multiple rainbows created by the cooling rain of fog of this waterfall give a special spectacle.   The boat trip across the Kazinga Canal is also a true experience: hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hundreds of kingfishers, African sea eagles in dead trees and pelicans quietly bobbing along the boat.
