Land of voodoo
This tour takes you to the most special places in these two countries with a wealth of culture, history and privilege. You will visit a number of characteristic cities like Ganvian,with its houses built on stilts and Porto-Novo, the capital of Benin, rich in culture with its various museums and the Songhaï Institute.
'Big Five' in Pendjari National Park
You can find even more culture in Abomey,the capital of the ancient kingdom of Dahomey. Then you will swap the urban environment for one of the most beautiful villages of Benin, Tanéki Beri, lying against the flanks of the Atakora Mountains. After this it is time for safaris, the first of which in Penjari National Park, with its enormous wealth of flora and fauna. During the game drive you can only bump into four of the 'Big Five' (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard).
After crossing the border with Togo, you'll travel over the next few days through the beautiful landscapes of Kara, Mount Agou (Togo's highest mountain) and the ecological centre Kloto to the beaches of Grand Popo,where, while enjoying fresh roast fish, you watch the spectacular sunset on the beach. Of course, a visit to the Ouidah, the center of voodoo should not be missed.
