Spectacular waterfalls in Uganda
Africa's longest river, the Nile, plunges into a gorge of barely six metres in Uganda with deafening noise; the Murchison Falls. You can take a spectacular boat trip where you sail to the bottom of the waterfalls. Here you can see many hippos and crocodiles. Along the banks you can observe elephants and buffaloes. Or to the Delta of the Nile, highly recommended because of the huge variety of birds including the rare Shoebill stork. The open palm savannah in the park north of the Nile is not only scenically very beautiful, at the moment this is perhaps the best area in Uganda to see a variety of large African mammals - including the Big 5.
