Lodge in paradise
Whitewaters Lodge is nestled in lush rainforest on a private island, right in the middle of the almighty Nile. The communal building where you can laze, eat and drink à la carte is situated on a rock formation, where a beautiful natural swimming pool is carved out of the pink granite.
There are ten thatched guesthouses, scattered across the island and tucked deep in thick forest. The comfortably furnished cottages are placed on raised decks and connected to the main house by wooden walkways.
Activities for all ages
Adventurers can enjoy themselves. Safaris on horseback, rafting, kayaking, supping and bungee jumping are just some of the activities the lodge offers. Slightly less sensational but at least as impressive – and for all ages – is 'floating'; over deep green small rapids, bumping among the hundreds of bird species that the reserve is rich in.
