Authentic tent camp
Zambezi Expeditions by African Bush Camps is an original and personal camp in the legendary Mana Pools National Park. The small-scale mobile tent camp is in a fantastic location in the middle of nature, right on the banks of the Zambezi River. There is no better way to experience the pure wilderness of Mana Pools than at this authentic, remote camp.
The camp itself is reminiscent of safari camps of days gone by. The six simple Meru-style tents are elegantly and comfortably furnished with two single beds and an attached bathroom with bucket shower. The deck chair on the beach is a great place to observe wildlife.
Game drives, canoe safaris and river fishing
The day starts early in the morning with coffee and breakfast. Then by open 4WD vehicle upstream, into the heart of the wilderness in search of elephants, wild dogs, large herds of buffalo, lions, leopards and many antelopes. Then an adventurous canoe safari downstream among crocodiles and hippos before returning to camp where a well-deserved lunch awaits you. After a siesta and high tea, spot birds on a walk on the mainland or fish on an island in the middle of the river. In the evening, under a twinkling starry sky, enjoy tasty dishes prepared with fresh produce from the region.
