Stylish lodges in five valleys

A series of lodges in Bhutan's central and western valleys allow travelers to penetrate the most isolated areas of the world. Rivers cut deep gorges, mountain passes are not always passable. Nevertheless, Amankora manages to present travelers in this remote area a comfortable stay. The five lodges, in Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey and Bhumtang match in style. They have a shared lounge area, spacious suites and a restaurant, sometimes with an outdoor terrace.

Traditional bukhari (wood-burning stoves) keep it warm in the lodges, even in the high-altitude areas.   Large windows let the landscape in: sometimes orchards in bloom, sometimes slopes wooded with coniferous trees, sometimes the vast plain of the valley. Always breathtaking. Choose your favourite valley or visit them all: valley hopping is one of the possibilities.
