TARSIERS, CRESTED MACAQUES AND CUSCUSSEN
Tangkoko Nature Reserve in northern Sulawesi is one of indonesia's magnificent large natural parks. The dense jungle is the habitat of many special species that you won't find anywhere else.
JUNGLE TREKKING
With a ranger, trek into the rugged nature on foot to spot tarsiers hiding in the jungle. It is best to leave early in the morning, because then the little tarsiers with their distinctive big eyes emerge from the crevices of the giant fisuses in search of their breakfast: locusts and butterflies. During your adventurous walk, you're also likely to see black crested macaques, cuscus, hornbills and tarantulas. A fence on the adjacent black lava beach with stunning views of tangkoko volcano completes the jungle experience.
