Yala National Park

NOWHERE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FIND MORE LEOPARDS THAN HERE

Yala is located in southern Sri Lanka and is known for its large population of leopards. Nowhere in the world can you find more leopards than here. When the sun is high in the sky, the leopards lie on the branches of the trees. On an exciting jeep safari through the national park, you'll also see monkeys swinging through the trees, buffalo grazing, bears on the road blocking access, and crocodiles lurking along the banks. In addition to the wildlife present, the park also offers a variety of exotic natures; beautiful lagoons, mangrove forests, dense jungle, imposing rocks, huge grasslands and marshes. In this green environment you can find more than 300 different flower species. Will you come with us to this pristine natural park in southern Sri Lanka?

A visit to Yala can be perfectly combined with Bundala National Park. Bundala is a true paradise for bird lovers. Birdwatchers see here among others the white-cheeked, the grey pelican, the brown-hood jungle timalia and the Indian neverzat. Between September and March, the number of birds is growing due to the arrival of migratory birds. Furthermore, the park is known for the large groups of flamingos that visit the nature reserve.
