Valleys full of mist
Imagine picturesque ridges, deciduous forests, waterfalls, hot springs and mountain trunks... Huai Nam Dang National Park has it all! It is one of the larger parks of Thailand, north of Chiang Mai. In the colder months, the sunrises in this remote area are enchantingly beautiful. From the vantage points Doi Kio Lom and Dong Chang it is a spectacular spectacle when the sun rises in the morning above the soft white sea of fog that stretches over the valleys.
Jungle waterfalls, geysers and tribes
Take a jungle trek to the various waterfalls and geysers right through the habitat of elephants, bears, tigers, macaques, sambar deer, mongooses, porcupines, civet cats, wild boar and many exceptional bird species. On a bamboo raft, descend the Mae Taeng River, scouring the air for thick-mouthed parrots, Indian bat parakeets, large pagers, red-picked forest fenders, large beos and buulbuuls.
Visit a traditional mountain village and learn about the fascinating and intimate connection with nature that the tribes have. Traditional elephant caretakers will teach you how to develop a close relationship with the majestic animals. This knowledge puts you directly into practice while taking care of elephants and was washing in a beautiful natural environment.
