You will explore the pristine jungle from the water, learn about local life in Dayak villages and go in search of the rare clouded leopard....
The jungle gives way to plantations and temple complexes as you travel to Java where you will be enchanted by the giant Borobudur temple at sunrise as the surroundings take on color and the reliefs and hundreds of stupas become visible. It is almost unimaginable that this was made by human hands. In Bali, you will see the most beautiful rice terraces and witness colorful sacrificial rituals. The journey ends on pristine Sumba where ancient traditions are kept alive by the fascinating Marapu people group.

- Bali's Jatiluwih rice terraces are the most beautiful in Indonesia and were built with the Subak irrigation system, a special water supply system of canals and weirs dating from the 9th century

- Special encounters with unusual local tribes such as the Dayak in Palangkaraya and the Marapu on Sumba
- Among the Marapu in Sumba, death plays an important role. When a person dies, many animals are slaughtered and buried along with important possessions so they can use them in their new, invisible world. It is very special to witness such a funeral ritual
