Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
The deserted beaches, deep forests, scenic lakes and bird-filled wetlands of the Baltics hide a raging wildlife. The Baltic states are bursting with historic cities and untouched nature full of lynx, wolves and brown bears. Where the world can't find you...
Estonia
Estonia is small, sparsely populated and beautiful. It is rich in folkloric traditions and endowed with wild nature and medieval towns. Stroll through Tallinn's old town, sail to Women's Island of Kihnu, hike through the lush nature of Lahemaa, spot birds in the wetlands of Matsalu and step into a Võrumese smoke sauna.
Latvia
A patchwork of seas, lakes and forests; Latvia is a vast, untouched parkland with only one real city. Art Nouveau Heaven Riga is the last stop before exploring the undulating tree-lined seas of Kurzeme , conquering the green hills of Vizdemet, hiking the fertile stream-laced plains of Zemgale and diving into the inhospitable nature of Latgale, covered with pristine lakes, swamps and rivers.
Lithuania
Lithuania is worth a visit for the Curonian Spit , the endless ribbon of white sand that lines the coastline, and the capital Vilnius , a popular artist gathering spot with old courtyards, cobbled streets and Baroque churches. But there is so much more. Look for the Hill of Crosses , take a tour of an ancient monastery and travel to Dzūkija to experience how people lived in nature more than a hundred years ago.
