The Barö

First-class cabins on the Barösund

A short hour's drive from Helsinki and not far from the city of Inkoo, this is a practical location for the beginning or end of any tour of Finland.
Above all, it is a fantastic waterfront spot surrounded by coniferous trees.
In between are The Barö's twelve modular cabins; the outside reveals very little about the high level of comfort you will enjoy here.
They are first-class cabins in several variations and built according to sustainable principles.
Everything revolves around the view of the Barösund Passage, the waterway between the mainland and the island of Barösund.

Springboard to the Finnish Archipelago

From The Barö you can go in any direction.
It is a fantastic springboard to the Finnish Archipelago, the largest archipelago in the world that has more than 40,000 islands.
This archipelago in turn is divided into smaller island groups, such as the nearby Ekenäs Archipelago National Park.
You go here mainly for the nature, but there are just as many islands with villages and towns.
On day trips from The Barö you will discover the culture of villages and towns, and the extremely relaxed lifestyle and maritime culture of the islanders.
