Mountain ranges, wildlife and haute cuisine
In terms of wildlife and nature, France is an undiscovered gem. This enormous country contains many nature reserves that offer shelter to various game and bird species. Located in the French Alps and adjacent to Gran Paradiso National Park in Italy, the Vanoise is the habitat of marmots, lynx, chamois, alpine ibex and wolves. The golden eagle, eagle owl and ptarmigan are also permanent residents of the park. In the Midi-Pyrénées , the mink and brown bear live, and in the Camargue in southern France you will see flamingos as well as wild horses and black bulls.
France is also more than worth a visit from a culinary point of view. Let your taste buds be pampered at one of the many Michelin star restaurants, or do you opt for a typical French bistro? Discover the wineries of the Champagne and Burgundy , dive at the bottom of the mundane French Riviera or travel to the special Corsica . Follow the history of Normandy and walk in the pure mountain air of the Auvergne .
Wherever you go; a journey through France is fascinating. 'Where the world can't find you...'
