Geysers, glaciers and natural disasters
Iceland is surprisingly versatile. From the modern city of Reykjavik to vast landscapes; after every bend there is another spectacular view. In the summer the days are endless and in the winter season the Northern Lights illuminate the sky. Natural hot springs bubble up and form a steaming river, geysers shoot up unexpectedly, glaciers as far as the eye can see and lots of waterfalls make Iceland a true paradise for nature lovers. Iceland is a must for bird lovers. Many bird species nest here and a large population of puffins hide in the rocks of Vik and Borgerfjördur . Icelandic horses and sheep graze all over the mountains. In the coastal waters at Husavik whales, salmon and seals and orcas are regularly seen near the peninsula Snaefellsness .
A land full of mystery, natural violence and vistas, 'Where the world can't find you...'
