Breathtaking views
The intimate Brändön Lodge has a beautifully secluded location away from the city lights of Luleå on the edge of the Bothnia Sea and with breathtaking views of the Lule Archipelago. In winter it is the perfect base in Swedish Lapland for adventure activities across the frozen sea and nearby islands, and in summer, enjoy the (midnight) sun on the small sandy beach or explore the archipelago from the boat harbor. Meet the reindeer of the Sami that roam freely around your cabin, unwind in the sauna and, when it gets dark, walk to one of the Aurora cabins by the sea where, with any luck, you can see the northern lights dancing in the sky. This is Swedenat its best! Where the world can't find you....
Tips & Tops Brändön Lodge:
- Small scale with 15 cabins each equipped with two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and veranda overlooking the archipelago (possibility of placing extra bed in the living room allowing five pax to stay)
- Winter clothing will be provided to all guests
- Free use of kicksledges, sleds and sliding mats in winter
- Perfect place to spot the sought-after northern lights in the right conditions
- Starting point for wide range of activities from snowmobile and husky safaris to balloon rides with dinner and northern lights or take an adventurous trip in the bright red hoovercraft
- An absolute must do is to book an Aurora Hideaway Dinner. By snowmobile you will be taken to a Hideaway somewhere on the frozen sea where you will be served a three-course dinner by candlelight after which you will await the Aurora Borealis. While the cook prepares your dinner you may take a hike on the snowshoes you brought with you.
- With a total of about 1,250 islands and only 100 inhabitants, the archipelago is a unique wilderness environment
