Tierra del Fuego
Land of fire (Tierra del Fuego) is an archipelago in the southernmost tip of South America. The surroundings are rugged, deserted, extreme and of unparalleled beauty. The capital of Ushuaia, originally a penal colony,located in a bay of the famous Beagle Canal at the foot of the impressive Martial mountains. Although there are still some Chilean settlements under Ushuaia, it is considered the southernmost city in the world, the end of the world.
The area is ideal for hiking through the wild nature for example in the nearby, similar national park Fireland. Take a boat ride across the legendary Beagle Canal with penguins and sea lions on the rocky cliffs or go fishing with the locals to the local specialty king crab (centolla).
