Underwater paradise
The Barrier Reef of Belize is, after the Australian Great Barrier Reef, the longest coral reef in the world. The coral forms a mysterious world underwater that houses countless fish and other marine animals, a true paradise for divers and snorkelers. The water is usually calm and tropically warm, ideal for exploring this wonderful world, that of brightly colored fish, but also sea bass, the nurse shark, turtles and large rays that seem to float in the water.
The Great Blue Hole is an underwater cave that many divers have on their bucket list. Made famous by the films of Jacques Cousteau, this huge 'hole in the ocean' offers a special experience where you as an experienced diver can swim among the stalactites and stalagmites.
Stay on one of the numerous coral islands along the reef as Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker or on the paradise Peninsula Placencia.
