Glaciers, fjords and lakes in southern Chile
Torres del Paine in the southern part of Chilean Patagonia is one of South America's most beautiful national parks. The landscape of the park is dominated by the Painemassief with the granite towers (torres), to which the park is named.
Walking
In the park there are numerous clear hiking trails. The most popular route is the W circuit that connects the highlights of the park, the Grey Glacier, the Valle Frances, the blue lakes, Los Cuernos (the "horns") and the granite Torres. We are happy to arrange this draw or other draws for you; all transport, tractor cabins and meals – you just have to enjoy.
Wildlife
The lower parts of the park are excellent for wildlife; along the 'Sendero de la Fauna' you will find the beautiful spectacle of guanacos (a llama species), foxes and many birds with the 'torres' in the background. This is also a very good location to spot the mighty condors. Although not easy to observe, we would like to advise you in the exclusive possibilities to spot the cougar.
Sailing through the park
Also sailing by ship, canoe and/or zodiac in and around the park is spectacular – along the mighty Grey glacier, over the Serrano River overlooking the ice fields or through the fjords with sea lions, cormorants and who knows the king of the Andes, the mighty condor...
