Lakes and volcanoes of Chile
This tour by rental car has easy-to-drive routes through a very green landscape of lakes and volcanoes, which you can drive at your own pace. There are plenty of opportunities to be sporty in this area, such as trekking, climbing or rafting. Or just relax in one of the hot springs! You will stay in a unique lodge in the NP Huilo Huilo and close to volcano-surrounded Lake Llanquihue with its German-like villages. From here you can also visit the stubborn island of Chiloe with its palifitos and wooden churches.

- From Pucón you can make beautiful day trips; there are several national parks nearby. Our recommendation is the NP Huerquehue. This park is known for its ancient Auracania trees. You can make a beautiful trek along a clearly followed path along beautiful lake lakes and waterfalls
- If you want a spectacular experience: book a guided Villarica volcano climb. This volcano is covered with snow and has an active crater. It's a tough climb, but you're already sliding with a special suit on right back down
- As a day trip, take a tour of Lake Llanquihue past picturesque villages and the impressive Osorno volcano. Then drive on to the enchanting Lago Todos los Santos and visit the beautiful waterfalls along the way
- You may also consider taking the ferry to the island of Chiloe, where time seems to have stood still. On Sunday morning there is an interesting market on the island in the town of Dalcahue
- From Puerto Varas, the one- or two-day Cruce de Lagos excursion takes you by boat and bus to Bariloche in Argentina
