By rental car, you will travel past many beautiful natural parks, such as natural pearl Tortuguero and the fairytale cloud forest of Monteverde, where you will hike across suspension bridges that snake between the canopy of forest giants. Look for Costa Rican wildlife icons such as the iguana, the two-toed and three-toed sloth, the multicolored toucan and the blue poison dart frog. Inland, you will be overwhelmed by several volcanoes, such as the active Arenal volcano. From lovely hot springs you can see red-hot lava flows daily. Your round trip ends on the Pacific coast of the Nicoya Peninsula with wild coves and the most beautiful beaches. A wonderful end to a wonderful nature trip!
Ziplining, rafting and kayaking
For some adrenaline, zippline among the trees at Arenal, ending with the infamous "tarzan swing," and raft down the Sarapiquí River through rapids with names like "Roller Coaster," "Superman" and "Air Force. During this trip, you can additionally kayak, tub and climb volcanoes. End the trip on the long white sandy beaches of Nosara, one of the best surfing destinations in the world.
