Tips & Tops By rental car from Mendoza to Salta:
- If you stay in Mendoza during the month of March, you can be part of the harvest festivals.
- Combine Mendoza with the Colchagua Valley wine region and Santiago in Chile. You will then cross from Mendoza over the Andes along the Aconcagua (highest peak in South America!) to Santiago de Chile.
- This trip can be well combined with the Atacama Desert in Chile (see, for example, The North Deluxe). You will then cross from Salta over the high spectacular passes of the Andes to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile.
