Eclipse trip Antarctica 2021

Solar Eclipse over the seventh continent

A total solar eclipse alone is already phenomenal; observation of it over Antarctica makes it even more special if possible! This group tour offers you an inspiring and varied program around this astronomical spectacle in the southern ocean.

After a short exploration of Santiago, travel to Ushuaia to make the crossing of the jagged Drake Passage via the bays around Fireland. In the early morning of December 4, the ship will head to the 'umbra' around the uninhabited South Orkney archipelago and South Georgia to observe the eclipse, an experience lasting about one minute that will keep you going for the rest of your life!

The days that follow are relaxing and exhilarating at the same time. On guided Zodiac, land and sea tours, you'll have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of wildlife species up close. Spectacular expeditions against a picturesque backdrop of deep blue sea, rocks, mountains, snow and ice. Where the world can't find you...
