Vast white sand beach and sea
Apart from an unimaginable amount of desert sand, Oman is blessed with an extra bit of sand. Long the coast stretches a white beach. Only occasionally interrupted by a fishing village or a port town. Like the town of Sur: the only place where dhows, sailboats, are still made in a traditional way.
Flamingos cross your path during walks along the Coast of Dhofar. And those who have had enough of the sand between the toes can wash it off into the sea. Snorkels and diving suits are ready for those who want to explore the deeper waters.
All the way to the south, the coastal route runs from Salalah to Mirbat. Right between beach and sea, for those who can't choose and want to admire both.
